The Space

This wasn’t just about designing a new home — it was about crea ng a peaceful se ng for a new chapter in life. For Mr. and Mrs. Ranganathan, comfort, ease, and a quiet sense of tradi on were key. We began by opening up the layout to allow for plenty of natural light, keeping the pale e so and warm to create an invi ng atmosphere throughout. Storage was integrated seamlessly — func onal, but never intrusive — with easy-to-access cabinets and low-maintenance finishes chosen for both prac cality and longevity. The kitchen was designed with modern efficiency in mind, while s ll allowing room for tradi onal South Indian cooking rituals. Subtle nods to their Chennai roots were woven in through details like carved wood accents, brass hardware, and textured fabrics, bringing a sense of familiarity to a contemporary space. The result is a home that feels rooted yet refreshed — calm, easy to maintain, and deeply personal.
